Do Corporations under the guise of Profit and freedom of speech create an unhealthy Population ?

Should corporations even have the option to exist? Let's face it, they're not public institutions that can be influenced by the population at large, only their shareholders and mainly CEOs can. Plus, as Noam Chomsky says, they're "private tyrannies" because they are run from the top down, and again, are not accountable to the public. I question their legitimacy because of their overwhelming influence on the country's foreign policy. CEOs are in and out of office and fund politicians. Cheney is a perfect example of ths so-called "revolving door" and the notion of having a conflict of interest. As you say, they definitely influence the domestic population by hindering our health. That's a battle, but I see the Iraq War as a more imminent threat to mankind, which is being led and profited from corporations.
