Does she like me?????

me and this girl who have been really good friends for about 8 years of our lifes. I am in 10th and she is in 9th. she liked me from 6-7 grade and i liked her 7-8 so some bad timing. she currently has a boyfriend and they have there ups and downs. we call each other babe and baby and the other day we both agreed that will probably date in the future. sometimes she is very talkative through text and will type smileys after every sentences and say babe after every senetence but sometimes she will reply with 1 word answers. she confuses the heck out of me sometimes. I need to know if you think she has any interest in me.
