How long can i keep food in fridge and not have to freeze it.?

Hi, have made my usual lamb cerole. I keep it in fridge when it cools and end up throwing whats left out after two days. Can i keep it in fridge for longer than two days as it seems a lot of waste. I am not into freezing it, I think the taste is different when defrosted. Thanks in advance for info.
