How do I deal with a negative coworker?

I work with an older, slighlty disgruntled lady who harres me every day in broken English. She intrudes upon my boundaries and is very invasive. She pesters me day to day with very personal questions about my love life and things that have nothing to do with work. For instance, she asked me several times if I were pregnant and asked who I'm sleeping with. She constantly insists on doing things her way and treats me as a child. Her attitude borders on harrment, though I don't want to have to bring the issue to my boss. I am normally unertive and shy, so my response is to keep the peace, but I need to confront this situation. What should I do?
