I hear in Texas that if a traffic ticket goes to warrant, it will not show up on your record. Is this true?

If a traffic violation goes to warrant in Texas - although you have other risks, such as jail - I understand that if you go to a courthouse to resolve it they will charge you a lesser fee and it will not be on your record.
